Serving the community
Mr. Urish serves as a member of the BlackRock Multi-Asset Complex Board, where he spent 23 of his last 27 years as Audit Committee Chair. Mr. Urish was also chair of the Board of BlackRock India. He was founding member of CyFIR, LLC, a cybersecurity technology company, and Founder of Catalyst solutions, one of its legacy cyber security companies. He is a member of the Accounting Advisory Board for Penn State’s Smeal College of Business and is a past President of the Ethics Committee of the PA Society of CPAs (PICPA). In addition, he was past President of the Pittsburgh Catholic Newspaper.
Accounting expertise
Mr. Urish’s professional experience encompasses audit, internal audit, mergers and acquisitions/due diligence, corporate governance, and forensic and valuation services. He specializes in succession planning for closely held businesses. He earned his bachelor of science degree in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University. He frequently speaks at various professional symposiums.
