Thomas Gaitens PC, Accountants and Advisors, founded by Tom Gaitens in 1979, merged with Urish Popeck & Co, LLC, on January 1, 2024.
Tom’s career began in auditing with Coopers & Lybrand serving large, publicly traded companies. He formed his own practice to concentrate on small and middle-market companies. Serving family-owned, closely held businesses led to a natural evolution to tax compliance and advisory services, as well as business valuation and litigation support services.
More than four decades serving business owners as a trusted advisor has led to this third phase of Tom’s career: estate and trust services. Thomas Gaitens’ merger with Urish Popeck greatly enhances the former’s ability to provide attest, tax, and advisory services to clients; and, in particular, Tom’s ability to provide estate and trust administrative services.
